Tuesday night, Baylor Health Care System held a premiere party for our new three-part documentary series, Dallas Hope airing on WFAA, channel 8, Nov. 8 at 6:30 pm CST.
Dallas Hope takes us inside the lives of three individuals and their battles against cancer. It is the first ever inside look at a cancer hospital in North Texas.
At the premiere party, participants mixed and mingled with the patients and medical staff who were featured in the show and were offered a sneak preview of episodes 1 and 2.
Guests walked down a red carpet and took photos in front of the official Dallas Hope movie poster while Steve Stoler, senior reporter with WFAA, served as the emcee and shared his own personal cancer story with the audience.

At the end of episode 2, there was hardly a dry eye in the house. In his closing comments, John McWhorter, president of Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, simply said, “Good Lord, that was good.” Those of us in the audience would have to agree.
Hear from the mastermind behind the Dallas Hope project, writer and director Tony Martinez, in the video interview below. He shares what it was like to get unprecedented access to the patients, families and medical staff who were featured in the show and how he believes the show will impact the people who watch it.
