When you’re young you think you are going to live forever. You’re untouchable.
At some point, I think we all figure out that’s not true. Some people figure it out earlier than others.
Take young adult cancer survivors (YACS) for example. They are young, untouchables just like the rest of us, until one day, questions about mortality smack them square in the square in the face.
The cancer word changes everything, especially one’s perspective.
